Overview
This safety course is designed for non-electrical workers who operate near live electrical equipment, such as tradespeople, plant operators, and site workers. It covers essential awareness and risk management strategies to ensure safe work practices around electrical infrastructure, in line with industry regulations.
Course Outline

Identify types of electrical hazards and infrastructure

Understand roles and responsibilities under WHS legislation

Recognise and interpret electrical safety signage

Maintain safe approach distances

Apply risk control measures on worksites

Communicate with authorised electrical personnel

Respond to emergency situations involving electrical hazards

Follow safe work practices and site protocols
Consideration is given to previous skills, knowledge and experience for students refreshing an existing or equivalent certificate.
Standard face-to-face delivery: Up to 4 hours

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
Successful completion of this course requires participants to have the physical ability implement safety requirements and use of safety equipment.
This course is recommended to be updated every 12 months.
